Cherry and grape tomatoes are bite-size, sweeter varieties of tomatoes. Cherry tomatoes tend to be slightly larger than grape tomatoes, but both make excellent, delicious additions to salads and sandwiches!

Tomatoes are exceptionally high in vitamins A, C, and K, as well as potassium. They are probably best known for being a rich source of lycopene, a phytochemical that has been vigorously studied for its antioxidant and cancer-preventing properties. Tomato lycopene has been found to protect against prostate, colorectal, breast, endometrial, lung, and pancreatic cancers, and the list keeps growing! Keep tomatoes at room temperature until ripened. Once ripened, tomatoes will last for a few days. Try to avoid refrigerating tomatoes whenever possible, as it severely affects their flavor.
