Place popcorn kernels in brown paper bag and sprinkle with oil. Fold top of bag over three times and shake well to ensure all kernels are coated with oil.
Lay bag on side in microwave oven and microwave on high for 3-5 minutes, listening carefully for when popping slows to just one or two pops at a time. Carefully remove from microwave, open bag awa from your face a hot steam will escape. Place popcorn in bowl and season to taste with 1/4 tsp salt, butter or other flavoring as desired - parmesan cheese, pizza seasoning, cinnamon sugar, etc
