Hot Blooded Cocktail


  • 1 cup blood orange juice (from 3-4 blood oranges)
  • 2 tbsp agave nectar
  • ¼ cup bourbon
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, chopped with stem and seeds removed


Place all ingredients except jalapeños into a cocktail shaker with ice and stir to combine.  Add the jalapeño pieces and shake three times, then strain into highball glasses with ice.  Garnish with a citrus twist if desired.
