Sprouts and Rice

Ingredients

  • 3 tbl sesame oil
  • 2 cups brown rice
  • 1 cup wild rice
  • 4 oz sprout mix
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 3 tsp salt

Recipe

1. Put a heavy 3 quart stainless steel pot on the stove on high, immediately pour sesame oil into pot. As soon as the oil is hot, pour in the three cups of rice and 4 oz sprouts. As soon as you smell the sesame oil beginning to toast, pour in the cold water and add the salt. Bring to a boil, turn heat to lowest position, cover pot and cook for 1 hour.
