Caramelized Corn with Sage and Onions


  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 cups sweet corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp fresh sage
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


In a large nonstick skillet, heat butter over medium-high heat. Add onion and saute until softened. Add corn and bell pepper; cook, stirring frequently, for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir in green onions, sage, cream, salt and pepper; cook until heated through, about 2 minutes. Serve warm.
