Broccoli with Mung Bean Sprouts


  • 3 stalks broccoli, chopped
  • 2 cups mung bean sprouts
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tbl cornstarch
  • 2¬† tbl cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup sun flower seeds
  • 1/2 up water to be mixed with cornstarch
  • 1 1/2 tbl light soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil


    Heat up a wok or frying pan and add in the cooking oil. Stir-fry the broccoli for about 1 minutes over medium-high heat. Add 1/2 cup water and stir-fry for another 2 minutes. Add the bean sprouts and sunflower seeds. Stir-fry for a further 2 minutes.Add the starch in 1/2 cup water and mix well to dissolve. Add to broccoli and mung bean sprout mixture along with soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir, then cover for 1 minute. Serve hot with steamed white rice.
