Beijing Radish Salad


  • 1 bunch watermelon radishes or one medium daikon radish
  • 2 Tbsp rice or balsamic vinegar (or a combination)
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped


Wash and julienne radishes. They can be peeled or not peeled, depending on your preference. You can use a mandoline to julienne, grate them by hand, or use a food processor. Mix together the rest of the ingredients and dress the radishes with the dressing.
