Maine Grains Organic Pearled Spelt Farro

Maine Grains bought a pearling machine in early 2018 and we're excited to bring you this new regional option for pilafs, soups, and grain bowls! Pearling polishes the tough bran coat to let water in during cooking, making the grain much more tender. Traditionally made from either spelt, emmer, or einkorn wheat, Maine Grains uses Maine grown spelt.
