Winter Moon Roots is owned by Rosendo Santizo, an immigrant from Guatemala who purchased the farm from founder Michael Docter in 2022 after working on the farm for 12 years and learning the ins-and-outs of running this unique gem out in the Pioneer Valley.
Their root vegetables are some of the finest quality roots that you can get in the northeast! Operations run on a schedule is almost opposite of what you would think of for a farmer in the northeast - they lay low in the summer, the autumn and winter are the busiest times of the year, growing, harvesting and storing everything from watermelon radishes to rainbow beets to purple top turnips to carrots.
