Salterie One (formerly known as Duxbury Saltworks) is a women-powered company that started back in 2018 when founder Lily Leedom decided to bring the sea salt that she had been producing at home to the masses.
Their salt is hand harvested from Duxbury Bay, which owes its clean water to the millions of oysters that reside there and act as natural filters. To further ensure the purity of their product, the water is also filtered down to the micron (that 0.001 millimeters or 0.000039 inches) to remove impurities like microplastics that the oysters miss. Then the water is slowly simmered down until nothing but clean, pure, fresh sea salt remains.
