Certified Organic Mushrooms
Both owned and operated by the Sharood family, this farm in Maine’s Mousam River Valley offers certified organic mushrooms year-round. This availability is no accident – they operate out of a renovated dairy barn using climate controlled rooms to create the optimal settings to foster growth.
They not only reduce waste by using compostable and recyclable packing, but by also creating a growing medium from local straw and wood chip. After it’s used, it then becomes a compost source for other farms. Boston Organics has been enjoying their wide variety of mushrooms since 2015.
